Privacy policy

Stigl brings your training and community together. This policy explains the information used to do that, what other people can see, and how to manage your data.

Who to contact

This policy covers Stigl at stigl.liveidrott.se and its companion app. For questions about your personal data or to make a privacy request, contact stiglsupport@gmail.com.

Information we use

  • Account and profile: your email address, account identifier, sign-in information, and profile details you provide, such as your name, photo, age, location and biography.
  • Training: activities, dates and times, distance, duration, sport, routes and GPS coordinates, performance measurements, notes, photos, gear and training plans that you enter or import.
  • Community: follows, club memberships, event responses, comments, reactions, shared media and notification preferences.
  • Technical and support information: session information, device and browser request information, security and error logs, and messages you send to support.

An email address and authentication information are needed to create and access an account. You choose which additional profile details, activities and media to add. Missing optional information may limit the related feature.

Signing in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides account identity information, including your Google account identifier, email address and basic profile information such as your name and profile picture. Supabase processes this information to authenticate you, and Stigl uses it to create or access your account. Your name may be used as your initial profile name.

Google sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar. Google account information is used for sign-in and your Stigl account, rather than advertising. You can remove Stigl’s access in your Google account settings; doing so does not delete information already stored in Stigl. Contact us if you need help accessing or deleting your Stigl account afterward.

Optional health and training connections

When you enable a supported connection, Stigl imports the data you permit it to read. Apple Health can supply workouts and measurements such as steps, sleep and heart rate. Training service connections, such as Polar where enabled, can supply workouts and associated measurements; connection identifiers and access tokens are stored to maintain the connection.

Health connections and posting imported workouts are separate choices. Private health records are used for your personal dashboard; workouts you choose to post follow their activity visibility settings. You can disable a connection in Stigl and revoke permissions with the source service or in your device settings. Disconnecting stops future imports but does not necessarily remove previously imported records or posted activities.

Why information is processed

Stigl uses account, training and community information to provide the features you request: authentication, your training log, statistics, route planning, sharing and notifications. The legal basis for ordinary account and service information is performing our agreement with you. Optional health processing requires your explicit consent, which you can withdraw without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Security, abuse prevention, moderation and troubleshooting support the legitimate interest of keeping the service usable and protecting its members. We also process information where necessary to meet legal obligations. Training statistics are informational; they are not decisions about your legal rights or eligibility for essential services.

What other people can see

Your profile and community interactions may be visible to other members. Activity visibility and profile settings affect who can see your training, including attached media and route information. Review them before posting: routes and photos can reveal sensitive places such as your home.

The gear overview shows your gear name, type and distance to other members who can view it. Their distance totals are based on activities visible to them. Gear notes are not included in that overview.

People who can view shared content may save or copy it. Changing visibility or deleting content from Stigl cannot remove copies someone else has already made.

Services involved in running Stigl

Stigl uses Supabase for authentication, database storage and uploaded files. Google handles Google sign-in and the Gmail service used for authentication and support emails. Comment images and GIFs submitted for moderation are sent to Sightengine for automated checks; contact support if you believe an attachment was rejected incorrectly.

When you use maps, your browser requests tiles from the selected map provider, such as OpenStreetMap, Esri, OpenTopoMap or a regional MapAnt provider. Route planning sends selected route coordinates to routing.openstreetmap.de. These providers receive the request information needed to respond, including your IP address and the requested map area. Some map libraries are delivered through unpkg.

Hosting and infrastructure providers also process requests and operational logs. Service providers may process information outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. You can contact us for details about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information. Stigl does not offer a feature that sells your personal information to advertisers.

Storage and deletion

Your saved profile, training and community information remains available while it is needed for your account and the features you use. You can edit or delete content using the available account controls and request deletion of other personal information by email.

Account settings include a deletion request with a 30-day restoration period. That period describes account restoration, not a guarantee that every database record, uploaded file or backup is erased on day 30. Contact support to request confirmation of permanent deletion and the handling of any remaining copies.

Some information may need to be retained to resolve an outstanding support or security issue or comply with a legal obligation. Retention for those purposes depends on the relevant issue or obligation. Disconnecting a service and signing out are not the same as deleting your account.

Storage on your device

Stigl uses browser storage to keep your sign-in session and preferences, including theme and time format. A service worker caches site files to support loading and offline fallback. Clearing site data removes these local settings and may sign you out; it does not delete your server account. External sign-in and map services may use their own storage under their policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the applicable law, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for optional processing. These rights may have legal exceptions.

Email stiglsupport@gmail.com with your request. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before disclosing or changing data. Do not send your password. You can also complain to Sweden’s Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

Updates will appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes affecting your choices or requiring new consent will be brought to your attention through the service or an appropriate account communication.
